Welcome to Playful Pathways!
Playful Pathways is a mobile occupational therapy service, providing support to children between ages 0-16 on the Lower North Shore and Northern Beaches, NSW.
We are a play-based and relationship focused service. As a family-centered practice, we value collaboration with caregivers, creating an environment of trust and inclusivity. Our practice uses evidence-based interventions, is trauma informed and celebrates neurodiversity.
Our Services
Assessments
Comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to guide goal setting and ongoing therapy intervention. Assessments include both standardised and observational assessments, collaborative goal setting and a therapy plan.
Individual sessions
Individualised one-on-one sessions that are aligned with your child’s goals. Sessions can be held in the home, community, or via telehealth. We use a strengths and play based approach in therapy sessions.
Consultations
We provide collaborative, capacity building sessions for educators, parents and other allied health professionals. Additionally, we offer mentoring and support for occupational therapists working in paediatrics.

Sophie Culmer Whitlow
Occupational Therapist (BscAppSc Occupational Therapy)
Sophie is a paediatric occupational therapist dedicated to supporting children and their families in building skills, confidence and independence.
Sophie graduated from the University of Sydney with a degree in Bachelor of Applied Science: Occupational therapy in 2017. She has extensive experience working with children aged 0-16 years who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning challenges, sensory processing differences, neurodivergence, anxiety, early childhood trauma, mental health challenges, gross and fine motor delays, and speech/ language disorders.
Approach
Sophie believes that a strong foundation of regulation and connection is essential to building skills across all areas of life. Her approach to therapy is client-centred, which means tailoring strategies to meet the unique needs and goals of each child and family. Sophie is committed to providing a supportive, empathetic environment that encourages growth and empowers children to navigate their daily lives with greater ease and confidence.
